When Ayushmann Khurrana said, ‘Tahira had cancer, I was hiding and people wanted to take pictures’

Ayushmann Khurrana is one of the most brilliant actors of Bollywood. He made his Bollywood debut in 2012 with ‘Vicky Donor’ and after that there was no looking back. He did many films one after the other. Ayushmann Khurrana recalled the difficult days when his wife Tahira Kashyap was diagnosed with cancer. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018 and has always spoken openly about her battle with the disease and shared her experience.

In a podcast in 2019, Ayushmann Khurrana mentioned an incident when he was immediately diagnosed with his wife’s cancer. Ayushmann Khurrana had said, ‘We were both in Delhi when the doctor told him about it. We didn’t know anything before. There was a time when we broke down and were sitting in the hospital. People wanted to click pictures with me there. I was hiding behind a pillar. The security guard was also feeling bad.’ Ayushmann Khurrana spoke about this in the 2019 podcast, My Ex-Breast.

Ayushmann Khurrana then also mentioned that Tahira Kashyap got help from spirituality. He had said, ‘Nichirin Buddhism gives you the courage to fight. Now you are the victorious queen before me. I was very happy that you have become so emotionally strong that you can fight this battle. We were together in this fight, but I used to be so inspired by you that you might have become stronger than me. Your presence is amazing. It is not your hairstyle but the person you have become, your experiences in life, it is the sum of everything.

Talking about the workfront, the announcement of Ayushmann Khurrana’s next film ‘Anek’ was made on Wednesday. Anubhav Sinha has directed this film. The film will release on May 13. Apart from this, Ayushmann Khurrana has also started preparations to do strong action in Aanand L Rai’s next film. Also, Tahira Kashyap has started work on her first feature film ‘Sharmaji Ki Beti’.
