TMKOC fame ‘Bhavya Gandhi’ aka ‘Tapu’ loses his father due to COVID-19

Bhavya Gandhi is an Indian television and movie actor. He is known for his portrayal of ‘Tipendra Jethalal Gada’ aka ‘Tapu’ in the famous television comic show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma (TMKOC).  He left the show in Feb 2017 after working for 9years.

According to a report his father was on the ventilator, fighting for his life for the last 10 days. However, he passed away recently. Bhavya’s father Vinod Gandhi was into the construction business. While the exact date and reason for the death are not known, but as per the latest information, he passed away due to COVID.

So far the family has not released any official statement. Bhavya was supposed to attend his cousin Samay Shah’s sister’s wedding, but as his father was unwell he made his presence at the wedding by virtually attending it. Bhavya after being associated with the popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah that made him a household name.

After leaving the show back then it was reported of the actor planning to explore new opportunities and hence bid goodbye to the show.

After leaving the show, he has done a few Gujarati films like Papa Tamne Nahi Samjhay, Striker, Baap Kamaal Dikro Dhamaal and more. He also runs a podcast.
Bhavya still shares a close bond with Taarak’s actors like Disha Vakani, who played his mother, Dilip Joshi and Samay Shah aka Gogi.
