TBT to Nushrat Bharuccha’s show ‘Seven’ where she played an unique role
Its Nushrat Bharuccha’s birthday today, and while the actor would turn 36, we recall ‘Seven’ a show in which she played the role of a girl with superpowers.
Seven was a show about the descendants of the ‘Sapt Rishis’ who had supernatural powers, and a scientist Doctor Charak who is in search of these descendants so, that he can defeat his enemy Asht and fulfill the Ashwamedha prophecy. These descendants include Asmin, Hriday, Varya, Haryaksh, Mastishk, Eklavya, and Drishika. Nushrat played the role of Drishika; a girl who can look into the future.
The show also starred Kashmira Irani, Shirin Farooqi, Naveen Kaushik, Himmanshoo A Malhotra, Meherzan Mazda, Shivam Sood, Raashul Tandon and other actors.
The show was produced by YRF Productions, directed by Siddhart Anand Kumar and written by Annuradha Tewari. It was released in 2010 and ran for 26 episodes.
Nushrat Bharuccha was last seen in Ajeeb Dastans with Fatima Sana Sheikh, Aditi Rao Haidri, Konkona Sen Sharma, Abhishek Banerjee, Jaydeep Ahlawat and other actors. The movie was jointly directed by jointly Shashank Khaitan, Raj Mehta, Neeraj Ghaywan and Kayoze Irani and produced by Dharma Productions. The film is available on Netflix.
