Priyanka Chopra Arranges 500 oxygen concentrators and 422 oxygen cylinders with COVID-19 fundraiser
Priyanka shared how did the funds helped her to support the Indian medical community
The second wave of COVID-19 is way more deadly than the first one. Amid this surge in cases, every middle-class or low-income person is going through a lot of struggle and striving. The whole country lacks to provide the required treatment due to a shortage of medical facilities.
In this time when people are in desperate need of required medical provisions to save their lives, many celebrities and businessmen came forward for help.
Actor Priyanka Chopra and husband Nick Jonas also extended help by starting a fundraiser to support the country during this pandemic era. On Wednesday,19th May, Priyanka took it to her Instagram story showing results of how the funds helped in order to fulfil the requirements.
Priyanka shared that with the funds collected up till now, they were able to arrange for 500 Oxygen concentrators, 422 Oxygen cylinders, and Manpower for 10 vaccination centres, which would help over 6000 people get vaccinated in the next 2 months. After sharing this information, Priyanka even expressed her gratefulness towards everyone who contributed to the cause. “Please know that you have helped save lives” the post read. She also added that they have so far collected the funds up to $3 million(22croresINR).
Priyanka Chopra has been actively sharing pivotal information about the COVID-19 virus on her social media handles. Priyanka was not only praised by the Bollywood actors but many Hollywood celebrities also lauded her for her initiative.
Apart from Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Cricketer Virat Kohli & wife Anushka Sharma also started a fundraiser.
