Lata Mangeshkar donates 7 Lakh for COVID-19 relief work

After many celebrities, now Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar has donated Rs 7 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for COVID-19 relief work.

India has been continuously reporting lakhs of COVID-19 cases daily with increase in number of casualties. The country’s situation is turning severe day by day as there is no sufficient hospital beds, medicines and oxygen supplies.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has conveyed his thanks to the famous singer for helping in this situation when the state is going through critical phase and said, We acknowledge with gratitude the donation of Rs 7 lakh from Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar. The amount will be used for our fight against Covid-19.”

On Saturday, as the 91-year-old legendary singer join the fight against COVID-19 and became an important member of it, the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations (DGIPR) of the Maharashtra government shared the news on Twitter and said, “Bharat Ratna @mangeshkarlata has donated Rs 7 lakh to #CMrelieffund #COVID19 Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has thanked her for the help.”

Thackeray also urged people to come forward and help in whatever way they capable to.
