Kylie Jenner becomes the first woman to reach 300 million followers on Instagram

Kylie Jenner, American social media star and business magnate, has become the most-followed woman on Instagram. The Kylie Cosmetics entrepreneur on Thursday hit 300 million followers, creating history. And this happened while the 24-year-old was posting less than usual.

Kylie Jenner is the first woman on the photo and video-sharing app to exceed 300 million followers. However, the football phenomenon Cristiano Ronaldo continues to hold the record of having the greatest Instagram following in the world. On the social networking platform, he has approximately 389 million followers. With 460 million followers, Instagram’s main account is the most popular.

However, Kylie by becoming the most followed female personality beat Ariana Grande who was formerly the most followed female celebrity on the social media platform surpassing Selena Gomez. Jenner recently dropped a pregnancy photo with a caption that was all about implying the past year and its “heartaches”. She is expecting her second kid with rapper Travis Scott.

Nonetheless, Kylie recently took a social media hiatus after 10 people died in a stampede at her lover Travis Scott’s performance at Houston’s Astroworld music festival on November 5. She kept a quiet profile following the tragedy, only posting a photo of her mother on Instagram on December 24.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kylie Jenner will be returning to the small screen. After a 20-season long run, her family is coming back with another season of  The Kardashians.
