Kangana Ranaut opens up on rejecting The Dirty Picture, says she has ‘NO regrets’

Bollywood Queen Kangana Ranaut is at the top of her career with many hit films registered in her name.

Recently, in an interview, she opened up about her journey in the industry and how people are calling her stupid for rejecting The Dirty Picture but she never regret for the same.

We all know, The Dirty Picture (2011), which is directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Ekta Kapoor, was earlier offered to Kangana Ranaut before Vidya Balan. But Kangana rejected the offer and chose Tanu Weds Manu overThe Dirty Picture.

Vidya got the movie and won many awards for her performance in the film.

Now, in an interview with Times of India, she praised Vidya’s performance in the film and mentioned that she wouldn’t have done it better than Vidya Balan.

On asking if she has any regrets, she said, “Not really. But I think The Dirty Picture, just like I always said, turned out to be so wonderful! But I don’t think I would have done it better than Vidya Balan because she was terrific in that. But yes, sometimes I feel that I didn’t see the potential in that film.”

“I have never done one of those conventional films of Rajkumar Hirani or Sanjay Leela Bhansali or even Dharma Productions, YRF or any of the Khans’ films. I have done none of that but still, I’m the top leading actress who has made a name for herself. It is a case study on its own. Though I failed to see the opportunity in The Dirty Picture, I don’t regret it,” she further added.

Meanwhile, on the work front, the actress will next be seen in Thalaivi, Dhakaad and Tejas.
