Farhan Akhtar postpones Toofan release amid COVID-19, says, ‘Our focus is completely on the pandemic’
Farhan Akhtar on Monday posted a notice which stated that they have postponed the release of his film Toofan on Amazon Prime Video amid the pandemic. The notice also said that their ‘focus is completely on the pandemic’. He also urged fans to ‘continue to observe Covid appropriate behavior and to get vaccinated’ in the notice.
The movie was supposed to be released on 21 May 2021, directed by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra and produced by Excel Entertainment. The movie is about a National Level boxing player. The film also stars Mrunal Thakur, Darshan Kumar, Vijay Raaz, Paresh Rawal, Hussain Dalal, Supriya Pathak, Mohan Agashe, and Hashim Ashmi.
Initially, the film was supposed to be released in 2020 but, got delayed due to the pandemic. Now, it has been postponed again.
Farhan Akhtar was last seen in Sky and pink with Priyanka Chopra, Zaira Wasim, and Rohit Saraf, directed by Shonali Bose.
