Divyenndu Sharma and Gajraj Rao team up for Imtiaz Ali’s next production

Divyenndu Sharma, known for his portrayal of Munna Bhaiya in the Web series Mirzapur, has been quietly shooting for a movie of director Imtiaz Ali’s production house. If a report of Pinkvilla is to believe Divyenndu along with Gajraj Rao is working together for a movie to be bankrolled by Imtiaz Ali.

According to the report, the duo has almost shot for a large chunk of this film right away after the regulations ease following the second wave of the pandemic. It’s a tale rooted in Madhya Pradesh, and most of the movie has already been shot. A small second schedule is needed to take off soon as the makers had planned to get the movie ready for a 2022 release.

Divyenndu and Gajraj Rao will be sharing screen playing author-backed characters from the small town of India in the movie, and their roles are said to have multiple layers giving them the extent to perform. The duo set well on the sets. Nevertheless, Imtiaz Ali, the filmmaker is generously known for films like Socha Na Tha, Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal (part one), Rockstar, and Tamasha. He is nowadays said to be formulating a script for his upcoming directorial, the details of which have been maintained under wraps.

Divyenndu too is strengthening his skills as a performer having acted in movies like Chashme Badoor, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Pyaar Ka Punchnama, and his two web series, Mirzapur and Bicchoo Ka Khel. Gajraj Rao too been on a signing spree ever since the accomplishment of Badhai Ho, and will soon be seen on the silver screen with Ajay Devgn in Maidaan.
