Dharmendra reveals the invitations for 2022 Dadasaheb Phalke film festival and awards

Dharmendra, the veteran Bollywood actor and former Member of Parliament, took to his Instagram handle and shared a reel on Thursday, revealing the invitation to the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022. Dharmendra captioned the video, inviting his fans and everybody else for the event, he wrote, “Friends, with love to you all, I’m delighted to unveil the mesmerizing invitation to India’s most prestigious awards ceremony, Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022, in affiliation with !ncredible India and Zee5.”


The Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF), which will take place in Mumbai on February 20, was first hosted in 2012 and has been “applauded” by the Prime Minister’s Office and the ministries of Culture and Tourism, according to the Bollywood star. He also mentioned that the festival and awards carry forward the legacy of Dhundiraj Govind Phalke, who was “lovingly known as Dadasaheb Phalke, the Father of Indian Cinema”.

He finally concluded by telling his audience that the festival was India’s “Only independent international film festival, with a mission to celebrate three broad segments of cinema and the work of aspiring, young, independent and professional filmmakers”. The event will, reportedly, be streamed live on ZEE5 on February 20 from 7 p.m.
