After ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’s disaster on OTT, Zee Studios in talks to release ‘Antim’ and ‘Maidaan’ with pay per view scheme
‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ was recently released on Zee5 app, where on the first day, Salman Khan’s fan crashed the app and got the film 9.9 million views, the film saw a rise in the viewership ever since then. Even though, the makers fear that the viewers are also not ready to pay the given amount to watch it, the film is doing well.
Keeping the situation in mind the Zee Studios are now in talks to release their upcoming projects like ‘Antim’ and ‘Maidan’ also with pay per view scheme.
A source talked to Bollywood Hungama about the situation. The source said “The industry has now realized that if a film stars a big name, then a simultaneous release in cinemas and on a platform like ZeePlex can be an interesting proposition. Hence, Zee’s top honchos wasted no time and have already approached around 4-5 highly awaited biggies. The makers are in talks with Zee and this shows how widely ZeePlex has got acceptance.”
The source refused to reveal the name of these films, but, someone from inside the industry said that ‘Antim’, ‘Maidan’, ‘Sooryavanshi’ and ‘83’ could be these films.
