Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan pens a long note on Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi

Gangubai Kathiawadi was released on Netflix recently. The film is about one of the most powerful, loved, and respected madams from Kamathipura during the 1060s. The film was a big office success. Well, now, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film has found a new admirer in Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan.

Taking to her IG handle, the star kid shared how she found Gangubai Kathiawadi inspiring and shared her take on legalizing prostitution. She shared the poster of Gangubai Kathiawadi and wrote, “You can develop a fierce will to change the wrong around you because of the trauma you experienced, making you able to ride big waves and overcome many obstacles…even they don’t manage to legalize prostitution….”

Ira added, “You can have money, intelligence, skill, connections, drive, passion, and great timing… you can want it REALLY BADLY and try your genuine hardest but eradicating world hunger, stopping climate change, eliminating discrimination, achieving gender equality, systematic paradigm change…anything even slightly big that involves more than just you….”

Further, Ira added, “We are meant to work on problems our children will solve. You might find the odd solution here or there… You will die before your life’s work is done.” – The Adam Project.”
Ira concluded, “You did manage to stop one builder/organization from tearing down the homes of thousands. Gangubai took the win….”

For those unaware, Actor Aamir Khan and his first wife Reena have two kids together-son Junaid Khan and daughter Ira. The couple got divorced in 2002.

On the work front, the star kid made her debut as a theatre director. Also, she directed the play Euripides’s Medea with Hazel Keech in the lead.
